MONICA KIM GARZA
Monica Kim Garza, (Alamogordo, USA, 1988; lives and works in Atlanta, Georgia, USA) develops an internationally recognized painting practice, exhibiting in major institutions and galleries across Europe and the United States. Among her most recent solo exhibitions are Good Old Raisins and Peanuts at Ruttkowski;68, Paris, 2025, and a solo booth in the Focus section of The Armory Show, 2025, with The Hole. Earlier solo exhibitions include The Trees and Bushes Beside You, Cologne, 2023; Raisin at Eighteen Gallery, Copenhagen, 2023; Under the Crescent Moon at Galerie Julien Cadet, Paris, 2022; and Closer at V1 Gallery, Copenhagen, 2020.
Her work has also been included in numerous group exhibitions in international institutions and museums including the Buffalo AKG Art Museum (2026); the North Carolina Museum of Art (2025); the Lowe Art Museum (2024); and the KMAC Contemporary Art Museum (2024), as well as in international art fairs such as Art Brussels and Taipei Dangdai.
Her works are part of major public and private collections including Musée d’Art Moderne de Paris; OZ Art, USA; Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Museum, London, UK; Carlsberg Museum, Copenhagen, DK; Beth Rudin DeWoody Collection, New York, NY; Maria Brito Art Collection, New York, NY; Carlsberg Museum and Xiao Museum of Contemporary Art, Rizhao, Shandong, China.
